ABOUT MAIZE & BLUE

Maize & Blue Rehab | Sparta, NJ

Maize & Blue Rehab stands out from other providers because our holistic approach is designed to treat the “whole patient”. We pride ourselves on giving quality care where every patient feels special. We take the time to get to know our patients to help them feel safe and nurtured as they rehab injuries and overcome illnesses which we realize can both be challenging and emotionally charged.

We use a hands-on approach, often including soft tissue work and manual techniques in our treatments. We often utilize our Stott Reformer Pilates Machines, which helps increase patients’ strength and flexibility in a non-stressful way. Our therapists don’t close themselves off to just one type of treatment approach or “method”, as we don’t believe that a “one size all” approach offers the best results.

We look forward to having a positive impact on our patients by improving their quality of life and we intend to be seen as productive members of our community.

Melissa decided to name her rehab clinic, “Maize and Blue” to represent her alma mater, the University of Michigan. Melissa graduated from the School Of Kinesiology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Movement Science from U of M in 1997. Three years later, Melissa’s younger brother also graduated from U of M.

The “Blue” was described as being “the blue of a summer sky” and “Maize” as “the yellow of ripe corn.”
Today, these colors are represented on the University Flag and the ribbons affixed on diplomas.
Melissa is a very proud “Wolverine” (the mascot of the University of Michigan) and cheers on her favorite college sports team whenever she gets a chance.

Melissa and Megan, I just wanted to express my profound gratitude to you both for
taking such good care of me during my recovery. Your patience and understanding
during the rehabilitation process made it so much more bearable. You stood by me on
two separate occasions from my first visit concerning hip therapy to the end of my
therapy from total knee replacement. You also motivated me every step of the way.
Thanks for going above and beyond to help me.
